My Experience Last Night In School (UNIMAID)_Written by ProudBornoBoy

Yesterday Evening was just like every other one, the cold so harsh, the harmattan wind so aggressive and everyone going about their normal day to day routine not knowing that the night was pregnant, pregnant with horror!!.... the night get belle, witch no fit abort am.

I just came back from the mosque, having just offered my last obligatory prayer(Isha) of the day, took my study materials for the night and headed down to MBK Hall located at the extreme Eastern part of the school, I love reading there due to less people which is proportional to less noise. I came back by 11pm tired and famished, lay down to sleep then I heard light gunfire for about 3 minutes, but I wasn't bother, it was a daily occurence for the soldiers guarding the school perimeter to fire around that time (I don't know the reason why and I couldn't ask, for an elderly man once said: commot your eye for army man salary.

Fast forward to 4a.m, I was so deep in my sweet sleep when I heard a very loud explosion BOOM!!..., I woke up immediately, Oluwa wetin dey Bokolize, my mind was like see this fool oooo, you dey sleep reach London for warzone. I looked around and saw my roommates all dressed up and tensed, afraid, I realized they have been trying to wake me up but I was gone gone gone.

I was on pyjamas haters will say it's tracksuit, I removed it immediately, wore a jean, my Chelsea jersey after all I always claim Chelsea for life, took my jacket, wore a shoe, a watch incase phone lost sef man go get wetin to check time, I took my Identity card, ATM and my Music Box, Ready to discharge to only God knows where.

I asked my roommates how long the duel has been going on, they said since 1a.m it has been light gunfire exchange, but about an hour ago, it became more serious, heavy gunfire combined with explosion, immediately I knew it was gun trucks. Then I asked wetin una still dey find for room, alaye I have japa ooo, I went for the door, it was locked and the key missing, chaiii.... So this is how it's gonna end....

I remembered I had a spare key, the gunfire was getting more louder which means the fight was getting closer, as I opened the door, the cold pushed back,

Boko Haram dey bomb, the cold dey pump, and I no get AZ to burn
I came outside and saw students all awake, panicking, my neighbors (new 100Level students) have all packed up their stuff saying they're going back home (this is their first time experiencing such). Charlie when una buy jamb form, no be me choose UniMaid for una ooo.

Then my roommates called my attention, I was preparing to run without carrying my documents, obob relax, na who dey alive dey use certificate oooo, safety first.
Muezzin started calling prayer, see Ladan oooo, you no dey hear wetin dey happen, lower voice ooo, make dem no send RPG come this way, I take God beg you.

Out of the blue, we saw Gun trucks coming, re-enforcement has arrived, morale was high, kill those slow bastards. The duel ended close to 5:15a.m, Victory for Us, For The Military, And For Peace.

5:30a.m, Iqamah was made, time for prayer, who wahala naked follow, no dey use English pray, I went to the mosque and offered my Salat. I saw my friend (who usually prays Subhi prayer around 9-10a.m) coming out from the mosque, egbamiii ooooo at least something positive came out of this horrific night.

Everywhere was calmed at the moment, students were all coming back to the hostel, and I slept off again,

I woke up this morning, the sun shining so beautiful, and from my balcony, I decided to write this down.

So students who's parents reside in town have started packing and going home, LMAO, I didn't bother calling my parents to inform them, I don't tell them of such things, to me there is no need giving them unnecessary BP. Having spent 4yrs in this school, it was a normal experience for me, after all I wanted to be MADE, that's why I came to UniMaid.

God Bless UniMaid,
God Bless The Military,
God Bless My Amiable Governor,
God Bless Borno State,
God Bless Nigeria.
